Research Partnership Grants aim to strengthen or initiate scientific exchange between researchers from Swiss and Latin American institutions in all disciplines. These grants are particularly useful to develop joint project proposals to be submitted to large funding agencies in Latin America, Switzerland, and Europe or to combine already existing and independently funded projects. The Leading House invites scholars from Switzerland to propose mono- or interdisciplinary research projects in any Latin American country, involving bilateral or multilateral partnerships. The Belmont Forum welcomes transdisciplinary proposals that address the nexus of Climate, Environment, and Health. World Academy of Sciences — TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowships in India
India’s Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) offers postdoctoral fellowships to young scientists from developing countries (other than India) to pursue postdoctoral research at CSIR’s laboratories and institutes. The duration of the fellowships is six to twelve months. Subject areas range across the physical and natural sciences, including agricultural sciences. Earthwatch — Support for Field-Based Research Projects 2025
Earthwatch supports scientific field projects in topics of ecosystems and biodiversity in several world regions. Applicants to lead these field projects must have a PhD and can be of any nationality. Earthwatch invites projects that have a strong rationale for using non-specialists (volunteers) to aid with data collection, scientific observation, or other research tasks. Annual budgets range between US$20 thousand to US$80 thousand. Program themes include among others collaborative ecological research; ecological restoration; global conservation priorities; ocean ecosystems; and sustainable agriculture and forestry. The TWAS Regional Awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to popularize science, and have developed new strategies that serve the popularization of science and technology in developing countries.
