In partnership with the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Brazil’s National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) invites young scientists from developing countries other than Brazil to pursue postdoctoral research in natural sciences at selected Brazilian research institutions for periods of 6-12 months. Subject areas include agricultural sciences, biological sciences, and many others. UK Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council — Agri-Systems Research
BBSRC announces a call for collaborative proposals to address research challenges relating to the sustainable intensification of agricultural systems in developing countries. The aim of this call is to enhance livelihoods through research to improve the productivity, sustainability, resilience and health of crops and/or farmed animals (including aquaculture). Proposals must be led by a Principal Investigator (PI) in the UK, but are expected to be co-designed and delivered with “in-country” researchers. The program Boosting Agriculture and Food Security (BAFS) aims to reduce poverty and food insecurity in Sierra Leone through better governance and increased agricultural productivity and diversification. A maximum of three grants of €3 million will be awarded under this program. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations established in a Member State of the European Union or in Sierra Leone. India Department of Science and Technology — Joint Call on Urban Water Systems
The India Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) seeks projects that design one joint Indian-Dutch research programme to develop integrated and sustainable urban water management systems and implement effective solutions.
