Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture — Travel Grants Program

SEARCA provides travel grants to qualified agriculture and agriculture-related professionals, social scientists, or graduate students in Southeast Asia. Applicants can request up to US$1,200 to participate and/or present papers at relevant local or international scientific conferences and fora. SEARCA will now be accepting applications for participation in scientific events held online in order to support continued scientific/intellectual discourse and information dissemination relevant to agriculture and rural development. Eligibility extends to nationals from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam. SEARCA operates on a regular grant schedule with four application deadlines per year. Entrepreneurship Campus — Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition

The Entrepreneurship Campus invites innovative ideas for the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition to create a culture for entrepreneurship and implement one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Participants are invited to submit their innovative ideas and projects with a societal impact. Entries will be posted on the competition website and are subject to online commenting and public voting. Winners receive a virtual badge and a certificate. Participants from 13 to 29 years who are operating a business, a non-profit organization or an informal program are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted until 15 September 2022. Government of Canada — Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program provides funding to postdoctoral applicants, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to Canada’s economic, social and research-based growth. A total of 70 fellowships are awarded annually. Foreign citizens who are not permanent residents of Canada may only apply if they hold their fellowship at a Canadian institution. Applicants seek endorsement from a host institution to apply, prepare and submit an application (Note: institutions may have internal deadlines). International Center for New Media — World Summit Awards 2021

Nominations are open for the World Summit Awards (WSA) and the WSA Young Innovators awards (young social entrepreneurs under 26 years of age). Start-ups and social entrepreneurs are asked to submit their local digital innovations with high social impact. The 8 award categories include one on Environment & Green Energy (climate, sustainable resources, agriculture). The winner does not receive a monetary award but does benefit from partnerships and integrations. Applications are accepted from companies, organizations or individuals. Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture — Young African Entrepreneurs Competition 2022

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) sponsors a competition for young African entrepreneurs (< 35 years) to showcase their business innovations in agribusiness. Although the focus of the competition is agribusiness, business innovations in other themes (e.g., natural resources, meteorology, urbanization, green economy, etc.) will also be considered. Competition will provide seed funding to young entrepreneurs with creative and innovative business ideas. The competition is open to all African countries. United States-India Educational Foundation — Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowship 2023-24

The Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowship aims to build long-term capacity in the USA and India by engaging both countries in research and education on climate change. The program offers research fellowships for PhD students in India who will affiliate with a U.S. institution for six to nine months. It also offers postdoctoral fellowships of eight to twelve months for Indian faculty and researchers who are in the early stages of their research careers in India. The fellowships provide air travel between India and the USA; a monthly stipend; accident and sickness insurance, a modest settling-in allowance; a professional allowance; and a dependent allowance (under certain circumstances). Stiftung Entrepreneurship — Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition 2022

The Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition (CEC) invites entrepreneurs from all around the world to submit innovative answers and ideas to solve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Young entrepreneurs (age 15-35) submit their ideas and projects in the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship category. Entrepreneurs over 30 years apply to the Adult Citizen Entrepreneurship category. Erik Hosking Charitable Trust — Writing, Photos, and Art about Birds and Natural History

The Erik Hosking Trust supports projects of scientific and conservation value on birds and other subjects of natural history through the media of writing, photography, painting, and illustration. Pacific Development and Conservation Trust — Community Projects in the Pacific Islands

New Zealand’s Pacific Development and Conservation Trust makes grants for conservation, cultural heritage, development, and goodwill in the Pacific Islands. The priority is community projects, including conservation projects that involve representative, endangered, threatened, or unique habitats and species. Eligibility for grants extends to citizens of New Zealand and eligible Pacific countries and territories. Most past grants range from NZ$2 thousand to NZ$50 thousand. American Orchid Society — Annual Conservation Awards

The American Orchid Society sponsors the Conservation Awards to honor outstanding work in orchid conservation. One prize focuses on conservation in North America; the other has no geographical limitations. The prize is US$500, with an additional two runner-up awards of US$250.
