The Haiti Clean Cooking Fund provides financial and technical assistance to support the growth of clean cooking companies in Haiti. The size of individual awards will range from US$25 thousand to US$250 thousand. The Fund will give preference to companies that can provide matched funding (50%). The Fund is open to companies and nonprofit entities in Haiti. Non-Haitian Companies may participate, provided they have an interest in entering the Haitian market or partnering with a local Haitian entity to manufacture, supply, and distribute clean cooking solutions in Haiti on a commercial basis. SEED — Starter Workshop for Eco-Enterprises in Kenya
SEED offers valuable resources and professional support to expand entrepreneurial ideas while learning from peers during interactive SEED Starter workshops. SEED Starter workshops consist of a team of 2-5 members that bring in a business idea for addressing environmental, social and economic challenges. Successful alumni are invited to apply for a SEED Grant for up to €1,000 which pays for resources required to establish the new enterprise. Islamic Development Bank — Empowering Youth for a Greener Future
The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) invites youth-led non-profit organizations to propose new and innovative green ideas and solutions that will support training processes for young people living in post-crisis situations. The “Youth Green Skills Accelerator Challenge” seeks to equip youths (15-35 years old) living in Islamic States with the competencies required for supporting a just transition in their communities. Up to 10 finalists will receive mentoring and training for a period of one week to improve their projects. The top three ideas will be awarded US$50 thousand, US$30 thousand, and US$20 thousand respectively, to implement the proposed solution. Ideas must be submitted no later than 28 July 2023. ChangemakerXchange — Climate Action Summit
ChangemakerXchange launches a global intersectional climate action program that supports the world’s leading climate action changemakers and activists from different regions. In 2022, there will be three in-person summits and a follow-up community and capacity-building program in Europe, MENA, and North America. Applicants must come from or be currently living in one of the eligible countries and be aged 18 – 35. Participants are asked to cover their own transportation costs. Mirova — Nature-based Solutions
The Nature+ Accelerator Fund aims to support nature-based innovative solutions to mitigate and adapt to climate change whilst delivering positive impacts both on biodiversity and the wellbeing of local communities. The Fund will invest in projects across the following four categories: Terrestrial Conservation and Restoration; Marine Conservation and Coastal Resilience; Sustainable Agriculture; and Nature-Based Innovation (e.g., drone technology, conservation-focused smart apps, etc.). Projects with an early-stage concept may request between US$100-200 thousand, projects that have a proof-of-concept can receive between US$1-2 million, and successful projects looking for follow-on funding to scale-up will receive up to US$5 million. The African ChangeMakers Fellowship Program selects African changemakers between the ages of 25-40 years to train, upskills and empower them with globally accepted cross-cutting training. Selected applicants are enrolled in an intensive four weeks’ digital online connectivity course to receive educational and capacity development in Civic Engagement, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Project Management, Techpreneur, Social Enterprise, Mentorship, SDG, African Union 2063 Agenda, and much more. The Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD) invites women’s rights and feminist organizations to apply for sub-grants. APWLD will support up to 8 organizations to do monitoring of the SDGs implementation in their country. The aim is to develop the capacity of feminist movements and women’s rights organizations to conduct evidence-based advocacy for the monitoring and review of the Sustainable Development Goals. APWLD will provide each partner organization with a sub-grant of between US$15 thousand to US$18 thousand. Energias de Portugal — Clean Energy Projects in Remote Rural Areas
Energias de Portugal (EDP) supports sustainable and clean energy projects in remote rural areas. The 4th edition of the EDP Energy Access Fund supports clean energy projects in Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Rwanda. Projects are expected to relieve energy poverty across one or more of five focus areas, including water and agriculture (boreholes, water pumping and crop irrigation). Projects may apply for support between €50 thousand and €150 thousand. Eligibility extends to non-profit and for-profit entities. Individuals or groups are not eligible.
