The Climate Technology Initiative (CTI PFAN) provides funding to climate or clean energy projects. PFAN accepts applications for projects in low- and middle-income countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Central America, and the Caribbean Islands. Projects may request between US$1 million and US$50 million. Projects providing energy access or rural electrification (clean cookstoves, solar home systems, mini-grids) may request smaller sums between US$500 thousand and US$50 million. Proposals are invited from companies, individuals, or legal persons; public-private partnerships; and entities that are legally structured to redistribute profits. Ford Philanthropy — Ford Philanthropy Fellowship
The Ford Philanthropy Fellowship invites applications from entrepreneurs and community leaders developing solutions in community development, education, and disaster preparedness and response. Eligible applicants are adults aged 18 or older leading ventures or organizations that have operated for one to five years with fewer than 10 team members and demonstrated impact. The fellowship is open to applicants creating impact in Brazil, Germany, Mexico, South Africa, Thailand, and Vietnam, with priority given to those working in Ford plant communities and areas affected by recurring disasters. The fully funded program includes entrepreneurial training, expert mentorship, leadership workshops, access to financial tools and networks, and a community development stipend to support a local Basecamp event. British Council — Transnational Education Grants with India
The British Council invites applications for Transnational Education Grants with India to support UK and Indian higher education institutions, together with industry partners, to develop and launch transnational education courses and degree programmes in emerging disciplines. Priority areas include AI and machine learning, quantum computing, genomics and proteomics, sustainable energy and climate change technology, synthetic biology, neurotechnology, circular economy research, advanced engineering, robotics, space technologies, semiconductor technologies, critical minerals, and earth sciences. Earth Journalism Network — Reporting Grants on Asia’s Endangered Apes
The Earth Journalism Network invites applications for story grants to investigate ape conservation issues across Asia. The program supports in-depth, original reporting on the threats facing orangutans, gibbons, and other apes in the wild and in captivity. Journalists and media practitioners based in Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam may apply. Irish Aid — Ireland Fellows Programme 2027/28
Irish Aid offers scholarships to qualified candidates from Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America to undertake Master’s degrees at universities and colleges in Ireland. Awards are made in the fields of development studies, rural development, biodiversity conservation, and many other subject areas relevant to the Terra Viva Grants Directory. Efico Foundation — Support for Coffee Producers

About every 3 years, the Foundation organizes a project initiation round and funds projects that aim to improve the living conditions of coffee producers and their communities. The Darwin Plus Local program invites applications for small-scale projects aimed at protecting biodiversity and the natural environment in eligible UK Overseas Territories. Environmental non-governmental organizations, community groups, research institutions, and individuals can apply with practical initiatives that focus on biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, and habitat restoration.
