The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) seeks journalists for a 10-day media workshop in Bangladesh focused on climate change justice and resilience (special focus on women and youth). The workshop provides on-the-ground experience and an opportunity for journalists to interact with experts and to participate in a field trip that will enable them to report on how climate change is impacting coastal communities. The U.S. Department of State announces the Notice of Funding Opportunity for “Mapping Illicit Supply Networks to Combat Conservation Crimes at their Convergence” with the aim to gather data and build capacity to identify the illegal and illicit supply networks associated with conservation crimes in the Mekong region. The U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur announces a competition for organizations to submit applications to implement a series of bootcamp programs on youth empowerment and leadership for members of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) in higher education institutions throughout Malaysia. The organization will receive up to US$100 thousand for the implementation of several workshops (min. 2 days each) aimed at participants ages 18-35 years. The objective of the Joint Funding Scheme (JFS) is to bring together Southeast Asian and European researchers so that they can collaborate on topics of mutual interest, one of which is Integrated Water Resource Management. Joint projects must comprise of at least 3 partners from 3 different countries. Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum — Water Advanced Research and Innovation Fellowships
The Water Advanced Research and Innovation Fellowships fund Indian participants to gain exposure and access to research facilities in water resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the Daugherty Water for Food Institute. Fellowships of three to twelve months are for Indian scientists holding a PhD in water science and engineering. Oriental Bird Club — Bird Conservation in Asia
The OBC Conservation Fund makes grants for bird conservation in Asia. Grant-making priorities are projects that benefit globally threatened bird species; that conserve threatened bird habitats; and that are led by Asian residents. Small Conservation Awards are up to £1,500 for projects of 12-18 months, with applications before 31 March of each year. There is a special early deadline on 15 November for projects that have to begin before July. The OBC also considers special and emergency applications at any time. How to apply
