French Development Agency — Biodiversity Partners Program

The Biodiversity Partners Program (BiPP) is a training course with focus on biodiversity regeneration and nature based solutions with the aim to support the implementation of pro-nature projects. The program is for organizations (companies, institutions, etc.) and entrepreneurs who develop or support projects that will have an impact on biodiversity. Eligibility extends to Southern African projects holders in Namibia, Angola, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Malawi, Zambia, and Botswana. Participation in the program is free. TED — Fellows Program for Extraordinary Thinkers and Doers

The TED Fellows Program provides transformational support to an international community of visionaries who collaborate across disciplines (many within the thematic fields of the Terra Viva Grants Directory) to create positive change around the world. TED Fellows are chosen based on remarkable achievement, character, and their innovative approach to solving the world’s tough problems. Selected fellows participate in professional training and mentoring with public relations experts, and attend regional meet-ups and retreats for conservation and exchange of ideas. New York Academy of Sciences — Mentoring Program for Girls in STEM

The New York Academy of Sciences’ virtual mentoring program ‘1000 Girls, 1000 Futures’ and ‘The Junior Academy’ accept applications from female students ages 13-17 from around the world. The program connects STEM-focused high school girls to female science mentors and offers an online community with STEM resources. The program also accepts applications of female scientists interested in mentoring young girls. Students and mentors gain access to a STEM network and receive a free 1-year membership to the New York Academy of Sciences. Applications are due by 30 June 2022. About the program

ChangemakerXchange — Climate Action Summit

ChangemakerXchange launches a global intersectional climate action program that supports the world’s leading climate action changemakers and activists from different regions. In 2022, there will be three in-person summits and a follow-up community and capacity-building program in Europe, MENA, and North America. Applicants must come from or be currently living in one of the eligible countries and be aged 18 – 35. Participants are asked to cover their own transportation costs. Thomson Reuters Foundation — Reporting on Climate Change

The Thomson Reuters Foundation invites journalists to participate in a training program on locally-led adaptation to climate change. This training opportunity offers a chance to understand the impact of climate change at a local level, and learn how to better report on the topic and enhance Civil Society Organizations communications to effectively communicate their message to the media. This training opportunity is open to multimedia journalists working in local or national media organizations in developing countries. The application deadline is 17 July 2022. German Academic Exchange Service — Leadership for Africa

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers scholarships for qualified applicants from developing countries who enroll at German universities for Masters Degrees. The scholarship program “Leadership for Africa” (LfA) aims to support young refugees and national scholars from Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Niger and Senegal at higher education institutions in Germany. The scholarship includes a language course (2-6 months) before the start of the university studies, tuition-fees and a monthly scholarship payment for living expenses. U.S. Department of State — Countering Wildlife Trafficking in South and Southeast Asia

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks to reduce poaching and trafficking of protected wildlife in South and Southeast Asia. Projects should aim to strengthen the capacity of civil society and governments to detect, investigate, prosecute, and adjudicate wildlife trafficking cases. The overall funding amount is anticipated at US$2 million. Eligibility for this award is restricted to US-based and foreign non-profit organizations and educational institutions. Pennsylvania State University — Online Course in Dairy Management

Pennsylvania State University (USA) announces an 8-week online course about sustainable dairy production. The course will offer an international perspective on aspects of dairy management such as genetics, nutrition, reproduction, etc. Target audiences include the general public interested; professionals; livestock producers; and educators and students. SDG Academy — Free Online Courses on Sustainable Development

The SDG Academy (edX) offers graduate-level courses on sustainable development for participants around the world. Thematic areas range from sustainable cities to sustainable food systems to climate action. SDG Academy courses can be audited for free or participants can choose to receive a Verified Certificate for a small fee. The Academy offers financial assistance for learners who want to earn Verified Certificates but who may not be able to afford the fee. All courses are interactive and self-paced. African ChangeMakers — Fellowship 2022

The African ChangeMakers Fellowship Program selects African changemakers between the ages of 25-40 years to train, upskills and empower them with globally accepted cross-cutting training. Selected applicants are enrolled in an intensive four weeks’ digital online connectivity course to receive educational and capacity development in Civic Engagement, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Project Management, Techpreneur, Social Enterprise, Mentorship, SDG, African Union 2063 Agenda, and much more.
