The Young One World Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 3 seeks youth-led projects which tackle the causes of air pollution and focus on the long-term health of young people. Projects should focus on individual behavior change, new technologies, or multi-stakeholder advocacy approaches to change laws/policies. The challenge welcomes solutions from young innovators (18-30 years old). Climate-KIC seeks a service provider to deliver a virtual accelerator program for blue economy start-ups, social enterprises and not-for-profits in the Pacific Islands. The delivery organization must be based in the Pacific Islands and have a presence across multiple islands. The program will support 5-10 innovations with up to a maximum grant value of €80 thousand from across multiple Pacific Islands nations. This call is open to entrepreneurship support organizations located in Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Wallis & Futuna. Climate Tracker — Just and Sustainable Energy
Climate Tracker invited applications for collaborative grants on just and sustainable energy transition in Southeast Asia. Fellows will receive training and be mentored by journalists and experts on a just energy transition. Selected fellows will benefit from grants to fund their in field reporting and publication and a network of like-minded journalists across the region. East-West Center — Graduate Degree Fellowship
The Graduate Degree Fellowship provides funding for graduate students from Asia, the Pacific, and the United States to participate in capacity building and leadership development programs at the East-West Center while pursuing graduate study at the University of Hawai‘i. The fellowship covers the cost of tuition and fees, books, and housing. Eligibility extends to citizens or permanent residents of the United States, Asia, and countries in the Pacific region (including Russia). Finduddannelse.dk — Sustainability Scholarship
Finduddannelse.dk is a Danish platform for lifelong learning. The platform offers a scholarship to a student for masters studies. The applicant must have been accepted to a masters program and aim to make the world more sustainable through their studies , for example, through clean energy, biology, sustainable agriculture, or any other relevant field. The scholarship offers up to €5000 to help cover tuition fees. Applicants from all around the world are welcome, however, candidates must be fluent in English or Danish. Crowd4SDG — Climate Resilience and Justice
Crowd4SDG seeks research projects that address the issues of climate resilience and justice. Participants may submit a project or an idea for a solution that supports individuals and communities’ preparedness for Climate Change. The challenge offers a 5-week online interactive coaching program. The selected applicants will be coached on how to turn an initial idea into a compelling crowdsourcing project. The top two teams will be invited to present their projects to potential UN and NGO partner organizations as well as impact investors. EuroMarine — Scientific Working Groups
EuroMarine funds two Long-Term Scientific Working Groups with a maximum funding of €12,500 each. The aim of the working groups is to provide the EuroMarine community with recommendations on how to best contribute to the international and European initiatives for restoring and sustainably exploiting the oceans as well as to advance the research on emerging topics related to marine sciences. Proposals should involve at least three full Member Organizations of EuroMarine, from at least two different countries. The United States Department of State announces the 2022 Young Pacific Leaders TechCamp for Climate Action. The TechCamp will bring young leaders from across the Pacific together with regional and U.S. leaders in the field of climate science and science communication to identify innovative approaches to climate resiliency and mitigation. SEED offers valuable resources and professional support to expand entrepreneurial ideas while learning from peers during interactive SEED Starter workshops. SEED Starter workshops consist of a team of 2-5 members that bring in a business idea for addressing environmental, social and economic challenges. Successful alumni are invited to apply for a SEED Grant for up to €1,000 which pays for resources required to establish the new enterprise.
