BeChangeMaker Africa — Social Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program

BeChangeMaker Africa is an online training program for social entrepreneurs. Participants gain access to tools and technology for start-ups, coaching, mentoring, and access to a diverse global network of potential investors. Interested social entrepreneurs have to form a team of 2-5 people between the ages of 18 and 35 years and present a social challenge they wish to address. Applications are open until 01 August 2022. 100,000 Strong in the Americas — U.S.-Andean Innovation Fund Grant

The US-Andean Innovation Fund Competition is designed to create and foster partnerships between higher education (HEIs) in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia and the United States that provide new student exchange and training programs in the academic themes of Environment & Climate Solutions, Food & Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and others. The Innovation Fund intends to award up to six grants of US$36 thousand. Higher education institutions in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia and the United States are eligible to apply. U.S. Department of State — Combating Wildlife Trafficking in the Dominican Republic

The United States Agency for International Development seeks applications from qualified entities to implement the “Combating Wildlife Trafficking” program. USAID aims to reduce threats to biodiversity in the Caribbean region by reducing the illegal collection and poaching of wildlife for international trade related to demand for pets or collections, food, medicines, jewelry and crafts. The overall funding amount is anticipated at US$3 million. Eligibility for this award is not restricted. Applications have to be received by 03 June 2022. Details

 

U. S. Department of Agriculture — International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program

The International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program (IAEFP) provides opportunities to U.S. citizens to assist developing countries in establishing school-based agricultural education and youth extension programs. Topics should promote bilateral agricultural trade and address priorities on climate smart agricultural practices. USDA anticipates issuing up to 2 awards. Each award is expected to support up to nine fellows. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in an agriculture-related field and understand U.S. school-based agricultural education. University of Science and Technology of Hanoi — Masters Studies 2022-2023

The University of Science and Technology of Hanoi offers Bachelor, Master, and PhD programs in subject areas that include energy; water, environment, oceanography; and several others. Eligibility to apply extends to Vietnamese and international students graduated from relevant training fields in or before 2022, with good academic results and ability in English. For highly qualified applicants, merit-based scholarships and/or need-based fellowships cover up to 100% of tuition fees and living expenses. Mitsubishi Corporation — Decarbonize

Mitsubishi Corporation and NYK Line seek startups for a startup bootcamp with focus on the clean energy transition and sustainability through decarbonization. The program aims to scout and support promising startups with disruptive technologies and business ideas to solve problems in the energy and resource sectors. During the 3-month accelerator program, selected startups receive hands-on mentorship, seed funding and access to a global network of investors with the ultimate goal of scaling their businesses. SEED — Starter Workshop for Eco-Enterprises in Botswana

SEED offers valuable resources and professional support to expand entrepreneurial ideas while learning from peers during interactive SEED Starter workshops. SEED Starter workshops consist of a team of 2-5 members that bring in a business idea for addressing environmental, social and economic challenges. Successful alumni are invited to apply for a SEED Grant for up to €1,000 which pays for resources required to establish the new enterprise. Amani Institute — Social Innovation Management

The Amani Institute offers a post-graduate certificate in social innovation management that emphasizes leadership, communication, entrepreneurship and management, and creativity and problem solving. Fellows will participate in a 3-month Immersion phase in Nairobi (Kenya). Fellows represent a diversity of fields contributing to sustainable development, including themes related to the environment. Amani offers discounted tuition plus a limited number of tuition scholarships (but excluding airfare and housing) in cases of extreme need. The application deadline for scholarships is 06 May 2022. German Federal Ministry of Education and Research — Green Talents Competition 2022

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) makes awards to individuals worldwide for their original solutions for a more sustainable future. “Green Talents – International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development” invites innovative green ideas for the current competition. The winning applicants are invited to a two-week science forum and networking program in Germany, followed by the opportunity of a return visit to conduct research in Germany. Atlas Corps — Climate Change and Environmental Fellowship
