The World Academy of Sciences — Workshop on Science Diplomacy

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) seek candidates to participate in the training workshop on science diplomacy in Trieste (Italy, July/August 2022). The workshop is designed for young scientists (below the age of 40) living, policymakers and diplomats, research institution administrators and research funders, and representatives from NGOs working at the science-diplomacy interface. BeyGOOD — Global Citizen Fellowship Program for Youth

The Global Citizen Fellowship Program supports a total of 15 young changemakers from South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya who fight extreme poverty and inequality in their communities. Fellows will go through a multi-phase curriculum, specifically designed to equip them with the skills and tools they need in any future professional environment. Fellows will learn how to use digital technology for social change, storytelling tactics to shift attitudes, and build lasting professional relationships. Earth Journalism Network — Introductory Biodiversity Course for Journalists

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) launches an introductory biodiversity course for journalists – “From Microbes to Rainforests”. The online course is self-paced and designed to help journalists reporting on biodiversity to better understand the most pressing issues, from conservation to climate change to synthetic biology. World Bank Group — Youth Summit 2022

The World Bank Group seeks applications for the Youth Summit 2022 under the theme “Unlocking the Power of Inclusion for Equitable Growth”. The Summit empowers youth to explore innovative ideas to social, environmental, and economic challenges. Participants shall provide innovative and concrete solutions that showcase the role of the youth in environmental inclusion (e.g. Climate Change Mitigation, Adaptation, Climate Smart Technologies). The competition is open to individuals or teams not exceeding four people, aged 18 – 35. Participants must be nationals from World Bank member countries. Selected teams will be mentored by experts, have access to a network of leading professionals and young social entrepreneurs, participate in virtual events and workshops, and receive seed-funding. MCW Global — Young Leaders Access Program

MCW Global seeks to help communities around the world achieve greater levels of education, improved health, and increased economic security. The Young Leaders Access Program (YLP) is a year-long program that prepares young people (18 to 26) to become leaders of change in their communities. The program offers virtual training modules, Zoom discussions, and virtual one-on-one learning between mentors and mentees. World Academy of Sciences — PhD Training Fellowships for Women Scientists

The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) invites women scientists in the field of agriculture (and other sciences) from science and technology lagging countries to apply for the OWSD PhD Training Fellowships. Each fellow will receive a monthly allowance to cover basic living expenses, a special allowance to attend international conferences, travel expenses, medical insurance, and the opportunity to attend regional science communications workshops for up to four years. U.S. Embassy in Madagascar — Workshops for Environmental Stewardship

The U.S. Embassy in Madagascar announces funding for lectures, seminars, training, or workshops improving environmental stewardship, sustainable management of natural resources, and biodiversity conservation. Funding will range from US$2 thousand to US$5 thousand per project. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) invites applications for the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Grant. University of Queensland Australia — Online Course: Making Sense of Climate Science Denial

The University of Queensland Australia, in partnership with edX, offers an online course on climate change science.
