Swedish Institute — Management Program Europe

The Swedish Institute Management Program (SIMP) Northern and Eastern Europe seeks ambitious and innovative leaders who want to learn more about sustainable business practices. The international leadership program offers proven tools and knowledge from experts with the goal to help participants to develop and implement an action-oriented sustainability strategy. The Swedish Institute covers the cost of training and content for all participants. Participants of the SIMP program will be selected from both businesses and organizations. Applicants must be citizens and residents of Armenia, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russian Federation, Sweden or Ukraine. The application deadline is 13 February 2022. Earth Journalism Network — Media Workshop on Wildlife and Conservation Reporting in East Africa

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites journalists from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda to apply for a five-day wildlife and conservation workshop in Uganda. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of conservation efforts in the region and learn how researchers, Indigenous groups, and local communities are protecting their ecosystems. Journalists interested in covering human-wildlife conflicts, poaching, trafficking and other wildlife crimes are invited to apply. Land Accelerator — Restoration of Degraded Forests and Farmland (South Asia)

The Land Accelerator trains and supports entrepreneurs that restore degraded forests and farmland. The program offers an all-virtual business creation and growth accelerator in South Asia. The accelerator is designed for companies that are in the testing phase of taking their product to market. Any business model that is recognized as restoring land is eligible, including, but not limited to smart agriculture, water conservation, agroforestry, tree planting, and beekeeping, forest conservation. Cranfield Water Science Institute — Full Scholarships

The Cranfield Water Science Institute offers 15 scholarships across for MSc courses in Water & Wastewater Engineering, Water & Sanitation for Development and Advanced Water Management. The scholarships cover full tuition fees for a full-time master’s course. Citizens of any country can apply for a scholarship but must have an offer of admission for an eligible full-time master’s course before applying. Applications close on 25 April 2022. Information

AQUACOSM — Access to Mesocosms Facilities

AQUACOSM, the EU network of mesocosm facilities for research on marine and freshwater ecosystems open for global collaboration, invites applications to the Transnational Access (TA) program. Successful TA applicants will have access to AQUACOSM partner facilities including logistical, technological and scientific support, specific training as well as travel and accommodation free of charge. Asian Institute of Technology and UNESCO-IHE — Joint Master’s Degree Programs

The Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand and the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands offer Joint Degree Master’s programs in “Environmental Technology for Sustainable Development”, “Urban Water Engineering and Management “, and “Agricultural Water Management for Enhanced Land and Water Productivity”. Applicants may seek financial support and scholarships from external sources, for example, the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) or the Orange Knowledge Program (OKP). Melinda Gray Ardia Environmental Foundation — Grants for Environmental Education

The Melinda Gray Ardia Environmental Foundation seeks to contribute to the development, implementation, and/or field testing of environmental curricula. The objective is to empower and encourage students to become involved in solving environmental and social problems. Any organization is eligible to apply — including schools, non-profits, governmental agencies, and others. The Foundation has made grants in several developing countries. Grants are up to US$1,500. Asian Development Bank — Atoll Youth Climate Leaders

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) seeks 15 youth from atoll nations who are passionate and committed to being young leaders for change through climate action. The selected youth will be part of the project on “Catalyzing Youth-led Climate Action” and undergo capacity building through a series of training sessions. After capacity building, project teams will work on youth-led climate project demonstrations to be presented at the Ocean Conference (Palau, April 2022). Participants will each receive a certificate of completion from ADB Youth for Asia as well as a daily allowance and communication support for a total of 50 days. Eligibility extends to youth aged 18-30 years old currently living in any of the atoll nations (Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Tuvalu, or the Maldives). Telecel Group — African Solutions for African Challenges

The ASIP Accelerator Program seeks African startups in sectors including AgriTech and CleanTech. The program is ideal for tech-oriented startups looking to scale through corporate and public sector partnerships. The program offers bootcamps and training events as well as benefits (Google Cloud Services, Hubspot, etc.) and €15 thousand in cash to each startup. Applications close 28 January 2022. Village Capital — SME Accelerator

Village Capital seeks small and medium-sized enterprises and startups that are scaling market-based and contextualized solutions to critical climate adaptation and resilience challenges. Participants from Africa and Asia will have access to a one-week intensive virtual training program. Eligibility extends to companies developing or offering products and/or services (ideally technology-enabled) that increase the resilience of target users to the impacts of climate change.
