Society of American Foresters — Scholarship SAF National Convention

The Gregory Award gives students or early-career professionals from developing countries the opportunity to attend the annual Society of American Foresters (SAF) National Convention. The award offers one individual complimentary registration and US$3 thousand to cover travel costs. Applicants must demonstrate past performance and contribute to their home or host country’s forestry education, government, or industry. Applications have to be completed by 15 March 2022. AQUACOSM — Access to Mesocosms Facilities

AQUACOSM, the EU network of mesocosm facilities for research on marine and freshwater ecosystems open for global collaboration, invites applications to the Transnational Access (TA) program. Successful TA applicants will have access to AQUACOSM partner facilities including logistical, technological and scientific support, specific training as well as travel and accommodation free of charge. University of Bergen — PhD Courses on Sustainable Development

The Bergen Summer Research School offers parallel short courses for PhD students and young researchers on themes of urgent societal problems focusing on the transition to sustainability. The courses will focus on key global challenges, including socio-economic inequality, psychological and social science perspectives on climate change, and the sustainable development of life below water. Stipends to participate in the course are available for qualified individuals who are currently enrolled for studies and carrying out research in a list of eligible developing countries. CRDF Global — Biosciences Fellowships 2022-2023

The Biosciences Fellowship Program provides early to mid-career biological scientists from Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, and Lebanon with the opportunity to spend 6 months working alongside counterpart professionals at foreign universities. Fellowship focus areas include animal, and zoonotic infectious diseases; among others. Eurasia Foundation — US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange 2022

The US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange (SEE) supports professionals and entrepreneurs in Russia and the USA to engage in a meaningful exchange of ideas and best practices. Projects may request funding of up to US$50 thousand for a period between six and nine months. Candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of either the USA or the Russian Federation, and have professional proficiency in both English and Russian. Aspen Institute — New Voices Fellowship 2022

The New Voices Fellowship is a year-long program that provides intensive media and advocacy training for top development professionals in the developing world. The Aspen Institute aims to select 15-20 Fellows who will write opinion articles, participate in interviews with local and international media, and speak at international conferences. Subject areas of interest include food security, climate change, and other themes. For the 2022 class, Aspen will give special consideration to Fellows whose work focuses on COVID-19 relief, vaccine development, and pandemic resiliency. ETH Zurich — Opportunity Grants

The Leading House ETH Zurich calls for proposals for opportunity grants with China, Japan, South Korea and ASEAN countries. Opportunity grants will support activities of Swiss researchers from universities or public research institutes linked to specific events, incidents, or major environmental and economic developments in the region in Asia. The call is open to all scientific disciplines and fields of research. Senior scientists may request up to CHF 50 thousand for projects of up to 12 months. The application deadline is 18 July 2021. World Academy of Sciences — Program for Exchanges and Collaborations

TWAS invites scientists from least developed countries to carry out collaborative research projects. Scientists have the opportunity to visit research laboratories in Trieste (Italy) to carry out research work in genetic engineering and biotechnology.
