The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) accepts applications for the Ulam Programme. The Program allows exchange visits (6-24 months) of scientists from all around the world to Poland in order to strengthen the scientific potential of Polish entities and increase scientific internationalization in all fields of science. COST Action MOBILISE — Short-Term Scientific Missions
Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) are exchange visits between researchers involved in a COST Action allowing scientists to visit an institution or laboratory with the aim of building a cooperative network to support research for biodiversity informatics. STSMs support scientific exchange visits with a duration of between 7-14 days with funding of up to a maximum of €3,500. Financial support is limited to cover travel, accommodation and meal expenses. Applicants must be PhD students or postdoctoral fellows at an institution, organization or legal entity from a COST member or near neighbor country. Eisenhower Fellowships — Africa Program to Fight Climate Change
Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) seeks applicants for its Fall 2021 Africa Program. The program recruits dynamic change agents primarily from Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe and brings them to the United States for a professional transformational experience. Ideal candidates are between the ages 32-45 and work in fields actively confronting the consequences of climate change, including agriculture, environmental protection, water quality, food security and energy, among others. Swiss National Science Foundation — Vietnamese-Swiss Joint Research Program
The Vietnamese-Swiss Joint Research Program enables researchers in Switzerland to carry out joint projects with research partners in Vietnam. The program supports ambitious research and innovative approaches in all areas of research. A maximum of CHF250 thousand per project will be available for the Swiss part for a project period of up to 3 years. Proposals have to be jointly prepared by Swiss and Vietnamese applicants. Congressional Hunger Center — Leland Hunger Fellows
The Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellows Program is a two-year international fellowship to develop leaders committed to finding lasting solutions to hunger and poverty. Leland Fellows must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents. The fellowship provides the financial support for one year of international service, followed by another year of policy work. The financial package is provided based on cost of living data for each placement location. Fellows are placed with international and local NGOs, U.S. government agencies, multilateral organizations, and private sector entities. Some fellows are placed abroad to work on projects in developing countries. The host organizations are responsible for providing meaningful work and supervision to the fellow. Swiss Government — Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars
The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships aim to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. Thematic areas for post-graduate scientific research include Agriculture, Biodiversity and Sustainability, and Poverty Reduction, among others. The Newton-Bhabha Fund offers short-term (2-4 months) PhD placements for Indian and UK PhD scholars to spend a period of their study at UK or Indian higher education or research institutions. The U.S. Department of State announces funding for logistics, meetings coordination, and digital communications to support environmental cooperation between all the U.S. Free Trade Agreement countries. Funding of up to US$197 thousand will be awarded to be used for logistics and meeting coordination support for in-person and virtual meetings, as well as digital communications to promote environmental cooperation programs. Swiss National Science Foundation — Scientific Exchanges
The program Scientific Exchanges is aimed at researchers who want to host their own scientific event in Switzerland; invite colleagues from abroad for a research visit to Switzerland; or visit their colleagues in another country. For events, an important criterion is the participation of women speakers and young researchers. Applicants for scientific exchanges must be employed in Switzerland, and applications must be submitted at least four months before the event or visit. Details
