Postdoc researchers who wish to pursue an academic career in Switzerland are invited to apply to the Postdoc.Mobility fellowships. The research stay enables researchers to acquire more in-depth knowledge, increases their scientific independence, and enhances their research profile. The fellowships include a grant for subsistence costs, a flat rate for travel expenses, and a possible contribution to research and conference costs. The funding period is 24 months. Eisenhower Fellowships — Global Fellowship Program
Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) empower innovative leaders through a transformative fellowship experience in a global network of dynamic change agents committed to creating a more peaceful world. Fellows will be invited to the United States for a six-week program with both in-person and virtual components, where they will develop a project, and collaborate with their American counterparts. Fellows range between 32 and 45 years of age at the time of fellowship and must be highly proficient in English. AGNES-BAYER Science Foundation — Research Grant 2024
The AGNES-BAYER Science Foundation Research Grant enables doctoral students from sub-Saharan African countries to undertake research in biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture. The Grant aims to support African PhD students to carry out activities that are part of the doctoral research, including but not limited to field experiments and data collection or laboratory studies. Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research — Visiting Scholar
The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) provides visiting scholarships to mid- to late-career stage scientists and academics involved in Antarctic research. Scholars can undertake short-term visits (up to 4 weeks) to an institute in another SCAR member country, to provide training and mentoring. The ETH4D Visiting Student Grant provides ETH professors funding to invite a student from a low- or middle-income country to ETH Zurich for a research stay of 3-6 months. The invited student must be registered as a Master’s (MA/MSc) student in their home institution. The grant covers the following expenses up to a maximum of CHF 16.5 thousand. The International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) makes grants through the Freezailah Fellowship Fund in support of capacity building.
