SEARCA accepts nominations for regional professorial chair grants. The grant is open to Southeast Asian experts in the academic field of Agricultural Technology/Innovation or with outstanding contributions on policies related to Agripreneurship. These include, but are not limited to, agriculture, social sciences, marine and fishery sciences, environmental sciences, economics, and rural development-oriented fields. The awardee will receive a grant of US$5 thousand. International Development Research Centre — Climate-Smart Livestock Systems (Africa)
The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) makes grants to develop new climate-smart livestock technologies and business models to improve animal productivity, promote climate adaptation and lower emission intensity for smallholder livestock farmers in climatic hotspots in Africa. IDRC intends to provide grant funding for up to six research projects of up to a maximum of CA$1.5 million each for 36 months. The Contemplative Changemaking Grants support the use of contemplative approaches by grassroots changemakers addressing urgent community needs. Grants will fund projects that support changemakers in transforming lives and communities. Funding is up to US$10 thousand for a 2-year period. Applicants must be individuals applying in their own name, or on behalf of a local community-based nonprofit organization (including universities) or social enterprise. WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award — Award in Fighting Disinformation
WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award invites nominations to recognize persons or organizations that effectively have taken on the challenge to fight disinformation (e.g., disinformation about climate change etc.), thereby facilitating the work to reach the UN Sustainable Goals 2030. The nominees will have created change that inspires others and shown what measures are necessary. Candidates for the WIN WIN Award compete for SEK 1 million. Oxford University — Grants for Collaborative Research with African Research Institutions
The AfOx Catalyst Grants provide seed funding to support the development of collaborative research between researchers based in African research institutions and at the University of Oxford. Travel grants enable researchers to meet in either an African institution or Oxford. Starter Grants fund activities which aim to develop sustainable partnerships and strengthening applications for longer-term fellowships and funding. The maximum grant amount is £5000. Private Enterprise Development in Low-Income Countries — Major Research Grant Development Finance
The Private Enterprise Development in Low-Income Countries (PEDL) Program invites expressions of interest for Major Research Grant projects on the role of development finance in stimulating private sector development, as well as projects related to climate change and environmental compliance. Major Research Grants are grants of £100 thousand or more. There is no formal upper limit, but past MRGs have averaged around £300 thousand. The Mozilla Technology Fund seeks to fund open source projects at the intersection of environmental justice and AI which are making a positive impact in ecosystems and human communities. Mozilla is interested in convening technical projects that have a firm grounding in environmental and climate justice, sustainability, and ecology.
