Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) makes large grants in support of biodiversity conservation in Indonesia with focus on the “Wallacea Biodiversity Hotspot.” Grants are in support of community-based sustainable small-scale fisheries, protection and conservation of endangered marine species, marine protected areas management, and activities that promote improved marine and coastal ecosystems. The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) accepts nominations for the 2022 Al-Sumait Prize in Food Security. The prize is awarded to individuals or institutions who have made significant advancement in food security and nutrition in Africa. The prize is awarded within one of three fields – Food Security, Health and Education – and has a value of US$1 million. The candidates’ research projects must be innovative and have achieved high-impact in the African continent. The Belmont Forum welcomes transdisciplinary proposals to its collaborative research actions on systems of sustainable consumption and production (SSCP). Proposals to the Belmont Forum must address one of the following four themes: Transdisciplinary Research to help transition to Green Economies; Sustainable and Resilient industries; Social Inequality and Environmental Justice; New Technologies, Policies, and Practices. The Swedish Research Council makes international postdoc grants within development research to newly qualified researchers with a doctoral degree from a Swedish university or the European University Institute (EUI). The Council invites applications from all disciplines and subject areas, including natural sciences, engineering sciences, environmental sciences, and many others. Research proposals must be of particular relevance to the fight against poverty and for sustainable development in low income countries.
