Global Water Partnership-Caribbean — Water and Wastewater Management
Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) supports the implementation of short-term, small-scale, innovative demonstration Integrated Water and Wastewater Management (IWWM) projects in the Caribbean. Each project for rural community-based interventions for wastewater management must have a total cost of no more than US$20 thousand with a duration no longer than six months. Interested organizations registered in the following countries: Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Guyana, Grenada, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, Belize, Suriname, St. Kitts and Nevis and Dominica are eligible to submit a concept note. Embassy of France to the Philippines — Support for local NGOs
The Embassy of France supports local organizations and calls for the submission of project proposals. The project can be related to environmental issues or other issues, as long as they benefit disadvantaged communities or social groups. This year, two grants of PHP300 thousand and PHP100 thousand will be awarded. Eligibility extends to locally recognized organizations, associated with the activities collectively implemented by the network of Franco-Philippine’s associations. Scottish Government — Asia Partnerships Higher Education Research Fund
The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) Scotland Asia Partnerships Higher education Research (SAPHIRE) Fund is available to Scottish universities to enable research to include a focus on environmental issues and climate change. Funding of up to £10 thousand will be provided to support existing research projects in climate research, emissions research, sustainable energy, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, water and food, and clean water, among others. The scheme is open to Scottish researchers with a partner from either Australia, India, Japan, Pakistan, South Korea, Singapore or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The International Water Resources Association (IWRA) invites early-career water professionals to submit applications for the Publication Mentorship Initiative. The program aims to facilitate and encourage mentoring junior water professionals through the development of articles that are publishable in academic journals. Applicants must be academics, advanced post-graduate students, or professionals working in the water sector no older than 35 years. Applications must be submitted no later than 31 July 2023. The SEED Replicator program offers incubation workshops to identify opportunities for enterprise creation and to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners looking for partnerships to build an eco-inclusive business model. Successful alumni can apply for a SEED Grant which pays for your immediate necessary activities, measures or machinery required to establish the new enterprise. SEED Replicator Program currently invites applications from entrepreneurs in India. Participation is free, although participants need to cover their transportation costs and accommodation. The Ambassador’s Special Self-Help (ASSH) Program is a grants program that seeks to improve community-based natural resource management. ASSH announces an open competition for organizations in the Democratic Republic of Congo to submit applications to carry out small, community-based activities. Funding aims at assisting community groups to develop lasting, self-sustaining projects with focus on vulnerable populations. Small grants of up to US$16 thousand are available. The Environmental Photographer of the Year competition showcases the most inspirational environmental photography from around the world. The Orange Knowledge Program (OKP) makes scholarships to mid-career professionals from selected developing countries for short courses (duration 2 weeks to 12 months) and master’s programs (duration 12-24 months). Eligible countries as well as eligible courses are listed in the announcement.
