Fondation Chanel supports non-profit organizations, community groups, social enterprises, and women’s associations. Projects eligible for support should focus on women’s empowerment, including economic resources and entrepreneurship, among other themes. Projects are generally 2-3 years in duration. The Foundation currently supports projects in 35 countries from all around the world. Fondation Chanel accepts unsolicited requests for funding through a letter of inquiry. If the project is of interest, Chanel will request further information or invite the applicant to submit a formal proposal. Letters of inquiry are accepted on a continuous basis. Angels of Impact — Fellowship for Women Entrepreneurs
The ASEAN Women Impact Social Entrepreneurship (WISE) Fellowship supports changemakers and social enterprises with focus on women and indigenous communities. Angels of Impact seeks medium-sized, women or indigenous-led, community-based social enterprises that work to end poverty via the creative economy sector. Selected fellows have access to capacity-building workshops, market access and funding opportunities. Two businesses from each Southeast Asian country (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) will be selected for the fellowship. United Nations Capital Development Fund — Women’s Empowerment in Bangladesh
The Women’s Empowerment for Inclusive Growth (WING) program supports women-led small businesses and social enterprises in Bangladesh who are working on real economic empowerment of women and girls. Interested enterprises are invited to submit their gender-responsive business proposal application for funding. WING provides technical assistance and financial support such as development grants, credit enhancements, and guarantees. The deadline for submission of investment proposals is 31 January 2021. Startup Grind — Startup Summit
Startup Grind invites participants for the Startup Summit (22 February 2021). Startup Summit is a virtual bootcamp for startups and provides free access to workshops on fundraising, networking, and investor matchmaking. Participants of the Summit gain free access to the 2021 Global Conference, a 4-day virtual event for startups from around the world. African Women in Agricultural Research and Development — One Planet Fellowship
African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) invites applications for the One Planet Fellowship. The Fellowship seeks to build a network of African and European scientist leaders to help Africa’s smallholder farmers adapt to climate change. Applicants from the following Sub-Saharan African countries are eligible to apply: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, and Zambia. Selected candidates will participate in intensive training workshops aimed at fostering leadership skills, strengthening scientific research skills including integrating gender into their research. New Zealand Embassy Fund — Call for Proposals 2020-2021
The New Zealand Embassy Fund supports community projects in small scale that contribute to increase the wellbeing of a community in Argentina or Paraguay. The Embassy will support activities and projects in the areas of climate change and resilience, economic inclusion, gender equality, and health issues related to COVID-19 pandemic. The maximum amount per project will be up to NZD $25 thousand. Recipients will be non-governmental organizations and community groups committed to non-profit development activities. The European Commission (EC) aims to strengthen civil society organizations in Suriname. The EC seeks applications for projects that enhance life in Suriname’s hinterland communities. Projects with focus on climate change mitigation, women’s empowerment, and youth participation may request up to €1 million. United Nations Institute for Training and Research — Disaster Risk Reduction Training Program for Women
The UNITAR Tsunami-based Disaster Risk Reduction Training Program for Women in Pacific Ocean countries focuses on building resilience and enhancing security of the region. The training program is designed to encourage participants to gain knowledge in Disaster Risk Reduction and develop a country DRR Plan with consideration of both natural and biological hazards. The program is open to anyone living inside and from Cook Islands, Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, or Vanuatu. United Nations Institute for Training and Research — Social Entrepreneurship Training Program for Women
The UNITAR Social Entrepreneurship Training Program for Women aims to empower women with the knowledge and skills of entrepreneurship to address socio-economic challenges in Africa. The training will be delivered in English and consists of mentoring, pitching, planning, and outcome evaluation. This program is open for women, including members of small and medium enterprises, government agencies and academic institutions, from Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Sudan.
