International RiverFoundation — Fellowship for Women in Water Management

The International RiverFoundation invites applications for the Vera Thiess Fellowship for Women. Women from developing countries get the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through the IRF and its partners, with the goal of advancing women’s participation in water and river management. The Foundation offers a 3 to 6 months fellowship consisting of project work, funding for travel, and participation in the 2020 International Riversymposium (China). Invest2Impact — Access to Funding for Women-led Businesses

The Invest2Impact Competition seeks to support 100 women-led businesses in East Africa with funding, mentoring and networking opportunities. The competition will award US$20 thousand to a business that is working to address climate change and promote a green economy, among three other categories. The competition is open to women entrepreneurs and small and medium-size women-led businesses from Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda. Applications have to be submitted by 20 September 2019. Pride Lion Conservation Alliance and Colorado State University — Women Conservationists Leadership Workshop

Pride Lion Conservation Alliance and Colorado State University offer a special training as part of Pathways Africa 2020: Human Dimensions of Wildlife Conference and Training (February 2020). The 3-day training workshop is aimed at women conservationists to help strengthen their leadership skills to achieve greater conservation outcomes across Africa. Successful applicants will have their accommodation, meals, and conference registration fully funded. Additional stipends will be available for travel expenses up to US$500. Fundación La Caixa — Work4Progress Challenge

The Work4Progress challenge seeks projects that generate new employment opportunities for women and young adults in India, Mozambique and Peru. Projects should focus on technologies to promote entrepreneurship among young women (India), agri-technologies to improve crops (Mozambique), agri-technologies to improve irrigation (Peru). Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation — Women in Agribusinesses

The program VALUE4HER seeks to increase incomes and employment for women in agribusinesses. This grant scheme is aimed at enabling women’s agribusinesses to try out new ideas and to spur innovations within women-owned agri-businesses. The maximum available grant per agribusiness is €9 thousand. The grant covers up to a maximum of 90% of the total project budget. The applicant has to contribute the remaining 10% either in cash or in-kind. Eligibility extends to African woman-led agribusinesses. Deadline for receipt of applications is 15 September 2019. IIDEA — Regional Integration Projects in East Africa

IIDEA invites organizations from East Africa to submit small-scale regional integration projects in agriculture, and other themes. Projects should focus on the needs of Youth and Women in the region. Financial support may range from US$10 thousand to US$50 thousand. Projects have to be implemented within a 12-month time-frame. Applications must be received not later than 30 July 2019. United Nations Development Programme — African Young Women Leaders Fellowship Programme

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the African Union Commission (AUC), invites applications for the African Young Women Leaders Fellowship Programme. The program aims to train and develop the new generation of young African women leaders and experts in designing and implementing development programs in the context of the SDGs and Agenda 2063. A total of 20 women will be selected for a 12-month assignment with UNDP at Headquarters in New York or in a regional or country office. The fellowship will cover expenses related to travel, medical insurance, accommodation, and living costs. Applicants must be nationals of an AU Member State and be under 34 years old. GreenHouse Capital — GreenHouse Lab Accelerator for Female Focused Tech Companies

GreenHouse Lab is a three-month accelerator focused on early-stage technology start-ups across Africa. Participants receive entrepreneurship training, US$100 thousand and access to a global network of mentors and investors. Start-ups must be female-led or female focused. Frida — Climate and Environmental Justice Media Fellowship

In partnership with OpenGlobalRights, FRIDA provides a 5-month training program to young feminists on climate and environmental justice activism and digital journalism. Women between ages of 18 and 30 based anywhere in Sub Saharan Africa, Asia, the MENA region, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe are eligible to apply. Fellows will receive mentorship and are expected to dedicate 4-5 hours per week (total of 15-20 hours per month) from August to December 2019. Applications are submitted through a short Google form.
