About Her Culture offers micro-grants of US$500 to empower African and Caribbean women around the world for social and economic development. Irish Government — Funding for Micro-Projects in the Pacific

The Embassy of Ireland, Canberra (ICMPS) offers grants of up to US$20 thousand to organizations in the Pacific that work on issues related to women’s rights, climate change, biodiversity, conflict resolution, and human rights. Organizations must be based in the Pacific and be an indigenous, locally managed, non-profit organization. Applications are due by 11 April 2023. A second round specifically for organizations based in Fiji, Nauru, Solomon Islands, or Papua New Guinea will be open from 18 April to 30 June 2024. Know more

Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in the ASEAN region

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in the ASEAN region. CFLI provides funding to projects that implement environment and climate action projects focusing on adaptation and mitigation, water management, and other thematic priorities. The average contribution is C$20 thousand to C$40 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit local, national, or community-based organizations. Melania Development Foundation — Support to Grassroots Womens’ Groups

Melania focuses on self-help projects that contribute to the improvement of the social, economic, and cultural position of women in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America. Projects have to focus on income-generating activities, which may include agriculture (e.g., chicken farming, beekeeping, aquaculture, etc.) and several others. The WE Empower UN SDG Challenge is a global competition for women social entrepreneurs who are advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The challenge honors innovative women entrepreneurs, invests in the most inspiring and transformational ideas, and ignites awareness. Awardees will participate in a dynamic pitch competition to present their business for the opportunity to receive a US$20 thousand grant. The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Egypt. The priorities under this call include women’s economic rights, decent jobs and entrepreneurship, and investing in the poorest and most vulnerable (which may include agriculture or aquaculture projects), as well as environment, climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, and water management. The average contribution is expected to be in the range of C$20 thousand to C$40 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit local, national, or community-based organizations. European Union — Online Acceleration Programme for Women Entrepreneurs

The BIC Africa Acceleration Program supports women entrepreneurs from Angola, Comoros, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Somalia, and 5 others from other Sub-Saharan African countries. The program will run from April to July 2024 for 4 months, and it will focus on established post-revenue women entrepreneurs with a registered startup or business. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Jordan

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Jordan. The priorities under this call include one on environment and climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, as well as on water management. The average contribution is expected to be in the range of C$55 thousand to C$75 thousand per project. Larger projects may be considered on an exceptional basis.
