Swedish International Development Agency — Training Workshop: Applied Land Governance (Africa)
Sida funds short-term training in selected development topics for participants from developing countries. Sida invites professionals from Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia to apply for the advanced training program “Applied Land Governance, Land Valuation.” The overall objective of this program is to strengthening the ability of all course participants to design and lead internal change processes within their organization that enable sustainable organizational change toward gender equality. WHOI invites professional science writers, journalists, producers, and editors from all around the world to apply for the one-week residential Ocean Science Journalism Fellowship. The program is designed to introduce science journalists to the interdisciplinary and wide-ranging fields of oceanography and ocean engineering through seminars, laboratory visits, and brief field expeditions. 3ie offers five bursaries to support nationals from low-and-middle income countries for the EvalMENA 2020 conference, Evaluation for Sustainable Development and Change. The event will be held from 27 February to 1 March 2020 in Jordan. The event will include pre-conference workshops for emerging evaluators and sessions on new trends in evaluation, innovative methodologies and evaluation for resilience and climate change. United Nations Foundation — Girl Up Leadership Summit 2020
The Girl Up Leadership Summit is an opportunity for youth leaders (ages 13-22) to gain the skills, resources, and confidence to make an impact on gender equality in their communities. For selected participants, Girl Up will reimburse up to US$1,000 for transportation costs (bus/train/flight) and provide a complimentary registration to the 2020 Girl Up Leadership Summit in Washington, DC (USA). Applicants who represent underrepresented backgrounds in regards to race/ethnicity, nationality, socio-economic status etc., are especially encouraged to apply. UNESCO World Heritage Centre — World Heritage Volunteers Youth Campaign
The UNESCO World Heritage Centre announces the Call for Projects for the World Heritage Volunteers (WHV) Campaign 2020. The WHV encourages young people to undertake concrete actions and to play an active role in the protection, preservation and promotion of World Heritage sites. Legally registered public or private organisations and institutions are invited to submit a project proposal for practical, hands-on workshops with youth focus. Each organisation is eligible to apply for a maximum of 4 projects to be carried out at different World Heritage sites. Projects should have a minimum 10 day duration and involve as much international volunteers as possible. Applications have to be submitted by 19 January 2020. Link to instructions
