Antipode Foundation — International Workshop Awards

The Antipode Foundation promotes scientific research, education and makes scholarships in the field of radical geography. The International Workshop Awards are intended to support geographers holding events (including conferences, workshops, seminars, summer schools and action research meetings) that further analyses of geographical issues and engender the development of a new and better society. Successful candidates receive up to £10 thousand (or its equivalent in the awardee’s currency of choice). 3ie — Bursaries for attending EVIDENCE 2018

The AEN secretariat and 3ie offer bursaries to Africans for attending the EVIDENCE 2018 Conference in South Africa. The 2018 conference programme will focus on four areas of priority in Africa, including one on climate resilience. Applicants are required to submit an indication of how they intent to map out the evidence ecosystems in their respective countries, sectors, or areas of work. Applicants can either apply for a full bursary which covers the cost of conference registration, air travel, and accommodation, or a partial bursary which is a waiver of the conference registration fee only. Thomson Reuters Foundation — Diversity and Resilience Programme

The Thomson Reuters Foundation invites applications for its reporting workshop ‘Diversity and Resilience in a Rapidly Changing World’ at the European Alpbach Forum in Austria (August 2018). The workshop will tackle the unintended consequences of the Industrial or Green Revolutions. Participants will have access to experts from the worlds of business, politics, culture and civil society. The Thomson Reuters Foundation will cover the visa, travel, accommodation costs and participation fee of all participants. EuroScience — Mobility Grant to attend the EuroScience Open Forum

The Nature Travel Grant Scheme offers journalists and members of media organisations from around the world the opportunity to attend EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in Toulouse (France) in July 2018. The biennial forum is dedicated to scientific research and innovation from all sectors. The grant offers complimentary registration as well as help covering travel and accommodation costs. Newton Fund Researcher Links Regional Workshops bring together early-career researchers from the UK and other regional partner countries to allow them to make international connections that can improve the quality of their research. The programme intends to tackle global challenges – such as climate and environment, sustainable energy, water and sanitation, rural and urban development, and food safety among others. British Council — UK Institutional Links with Gulf countries

The Newton Institutional Links support research and innovation collaboration between the UK and partners in any of the following countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE. Subject areas for the collaborative research include agriculture, climate and environment, sustainable energy, water and sanitation, and several others — varying with each partner country. Proposals are submitted jointly by a principal investigator in the UK with a principal investigator in the partner country. Grants range from £50 thousand to £125 thousand over two years. Earth Journalism Network — Fellowship to attend the Congress for Conservation Biology (LACCCB 2018)

Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites working journalists from Latin America and the Caribbean to apply for the biodiversity and conservation fellowship at the inaugural LACCCB 2018 (25-27 July 2018, in Trinidad & Tobago). Selected participants will attend a workshop prior to the congress and then spend their time at the conference, developing sources and story ideas, and reporting on news from conservation organizations, governments and researchers. UNESCO World Heritage Education Programme — World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2018

Candidates who wish to attend the World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2018 under the theme of ‘Protecting Heritage in an Ever-Changing World’ from 17 to 26 June 2018 in Manama (Bahrain) are invited to apply for a conference scholarship. The Forum aims to transmit the values of World Heritage, highlighting the potential that World Heritage education may have for facilitating sustainable development. All travel and accommodation costs for the selected participants will be covered. The organizers will assist in the travel preparations (including visas) and bookings. Biodiversity Congress — Registrations 2018

The 7th International Conference on Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem Management (26-27 July 2018 in Melbourne, Australia) is a global platform to meet worldwide professionals in environment science, discuss and learn about Ecology and its associated fields. Researchers, scientists, scholars, students and business delegates from all around the world are invited to register and submit abstracts.
