IHE Delft Institute for Water Education — International Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Engineering

IHE Delft welcomes applications from international and EU candidate students seeking admission to the International Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Engineering (IMETE). The next intake of IMETE students will be in September 2024. Studies will take place in 3 different European countries. The European Union will offer full scholarships on a competitive basis. European Commission Erasmus Mundus — International Masters Degree in Environment 2025-2027

MESPOM is a two-year Erasmus Mundus master’s course in environmental sciences, policy, and management operated by four European and two North American universities. MESPOM invites applications from all countries. MESPOM aims to prepare students for identifying and implementing solutions to complex environmental sustainability challenges, especially in an international context. Graduates receive MSc degrees from the Central European University, Lund University, and the University of Manchester. The program offers several forms of financial assistance, including tuition fee waivers and living stipends. Trust for Sustainable Living — International Schools Essay Competition

Every year, the essay competition focuses on a different global sustainability challenge. This year’s theme is Eco-Anxiety. Participating students are invited to create a piece of artwork, music, video, poem, essay, letter, or story that explores moving from feelings of eco-anxiety to eco-action & empowerment. The Grand Prize trophy winner will receive a free international trip to a TSL Summit, including £1000 spending money. Schools have to register a Teacher Champion to participate in the competition. Loyola Foundation — Catholic Mission Activities

The Loyola Foundation supports family-based charitable organizations in less developed countries worldwide. Past grants have helped finance the installation of solar power plants, water wells, or the construction of churches, schools, and health clinics. Generally, the Foundation accepts requests up to US$20 thousand. Projects must be part of an overseas catholic mission activity. Completed applications must be received by 31 March and 30 September 2025. Link

UNESCO — Land Restoration Training Program

The General Assembly of African Biosphere Reserves Network invites applications for fellowships to the GRÓ Land Restoration Training Program (GRÓ LRT). The program offers six months of training focused on land restoration and sustainable land management, hosted at the Agricultural University of Iceland. The Fellowship covers tuition and other academic expenses for the fellows, travel and health insurance costs, and a stipend that covers all their living expenses. Applicants should be working and having a prominent role in biosphere reserve ecosystem restoration activity. Echoing Green — Fellowships 2025

Echoing Green helps emerging social entrepreneurs around the world with grants of seed capital and technical assistance to support their start-up organizations. Seed funding of up to US$80 thousand over 18 months is offered to for-profit organizations through recoverable grants. Past fellowships include examples in renewable energy, waste management, smallholder farming, climate change, and other societal challenges in developing countries. Earth Journalism Network — Investigative Story Grant

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) makes reporting grants to Indigenous and tribal journalists globally to support the production of investigative reporting on environmental and climate issues. EJN expects to award up to 5-6 grants of up to US$3,000 each. Applicants must self-identify as Indigenous or belonging to a tribe and will be asked to provide details on their Indigenous or tribal affiliations in the application. Applicants can be from anywhere in the world. The deadline for applications is 16 October 2024. Investigative Story Grant

L’Oréal — Fund for Women

L’Oréal supports organizations in their efforts to help women to get out of poverty. The Fund supports women’s and girls’ empowerment, particularly through projects favoring social or professional integration and education. Specific attention is paid to refugee women and women with disabilities. Eligibility extends to grassroots non-profit organizations. The Fund is open internationally and can support local or national projects/activities. The deadline for applications is 17 October 2024. Fund for Women

Morris Animal Foundation — Wildlife Health (Reptiles and Amphibians)

The Morris Animal Foundation supports research that advances the health and welfare of reptiles and amphibians. The Foundation invites proposals in three categories: Established Investigator, First Award, & Pilot Study Awards. The maximum duration of an Established Investigator award is 36 months. There is no limit to the budget request, however, the average award is expected to be US$100 thousand. The maximum duration of a Pilot Study award is 12 months, and the total budget cannot exceed $20,000. The maximum duration of a First Award is 24 months, and the total budget cannot exceed US$120 thousand. The application deadline for wildlife/exotics is 23 October 2024. Know more

Malmar Knowles Family Foundation — Youth Leadership Program

The Knowles Educational and Charitable Trust for International Leadership (Kectil) Program is a one-year web-based mentoring program in youth leadership. The program consists of multiple-week modules with assignments to address issues facing youth globally. Youth (aged 17-26) from developing countries are eligible to apply.
