The International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) makes grants through the Freezailah Fellowship Fund in support of capacity building. The grant can be used for training opportunities, demonstration tours, participation in conferences and workshops, preparation of technical papers, and post-graduate degrees. Grants up to US$10 thousand are in support of sustainable tropical forest management. The “Art on Climate” Competition invites talented illustrators and video creators to create artworks centred on the theme of climate change. United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change — AI for Climate Action Award
The AI for Climate Action Award is a global competition that celebrates the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in tackling climate change. Anyone above the age of 18 years, with an open-source, AI-powered climate solution developed in or for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) or Small Island Developing States (SIDS) is encouraged to apply. Applications are welcome from individuals, teams, start-ups, organizations, or any other type of entity. The winner will travel to the UN Climate Change Conference COP 30 in Brazil (November 2025). Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World — OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Awards
The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) supports early-career women scientists in Sub-Saharan Africa and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) with doctoral fellowships in the natural sciences. The applicant must have received her PhD in a scientific discipline within the previous ten years and whose current scientific research is related to the area of water, sanitation, and hygiene. Five grantees receive a cash grant of US$5 thousand and an all-expenses-paid trip to attend a relevant international conference. Applicants should be qualified young women science graduates (generally below 40 years of age), who have an M.Sc. degree or outstanding B.Sc. in the natural sciences. Future Blue Youth Council — True Blue Fellowship
The True Blue Fellowship connects and empowers youth around the world to leverage the creative arts to enact change in local communities to safeguard the ocean, waterways, and the climate. The Fellowship provides mentorship, capacity building, and funding of up to $2,500 for 10 youth-led projects that address ocean, waterways, or climate change issues in their local communities. International Association of Horticultural Producers — World Green City Awards
The AIPH World Green City Awards competition recognizes the role of city authorities in promoting and supporting greater inclusion of nature and plants in urban environments. The award is open to city governments and local authorities around the world. The submission must be made by the local authority governing the city – such as the Mayor’s or executive officer’s office. Knowledge Frontiers provides UK-based researchers active in the social sciences and the humanities with an opportunity to develop international interdisciplinary research projects in collaboration with colleagues from the natural, engineering, and/or medical sciences. The British Academy invites proposals for projects which focus on the interaction between technology, nature, and humanity. The lead applicant must be based at a UK university or research institute.
