Mountaintop International — Fellowship for Community Leaders

The Mountaintop Fellowship is a paid, one-year, full-time fellowship for local leaders to stay in or return to their home communities and contribute to systems change in lower-income places around the world. Fellows receive a US$3,600 grant paid in 12 installments and have the opportunity to apply for the Catalyst Fund, which funds up to US$2,500 for fellows to implement a project in their community. Johns Hopkins University — Science Writing Fellowship

The Johns Hopkins Science Writing Fellowship aims to improve science journalism and science itself by providing reporting grants for feature-length magazine articles. Grants will support articles that reveal flaws in current science policy, practice, or funding and identify ways these challenges might be overcome. The Good Science Project–Johns Hopkins MA in Science Writing Fellowship will award four grants each year. Grant funds will be distributed in two installments: US$2,500 when the grant is awarded and US$2,500 upon submission of a polished final draft. Awardees can use the funds to cover living expenses and reporting costs, including travel, and are not required to track or submit expenses. International applicants are welcome to apply, but proposed articles should address scientific funding in the United States. The deadline to apply is 15 November 2024. Science Writing Fellowship

ProVeg International — Grants

ProVeg Grants provides funding to diet-change organizations and projects that align with ProVeg‘s mission to reduce the global consumption of animals by 50%. The ProVeg Grants program offers expertise and support to organizations. ProVeg provides both financial support and assistance with capacity-building. Financial support is between US$5,000 and US$50 thousand per year. Applicants must be individuals or organizations focused on food-system transformation. Van Tienhoven Foundation — Small Grants for Biodiversity Conservation

The Van Tienhoven Foundation for International Nature Protection promotes the protection, conservation, and sustainable use of ecosystems and their living organisms. The Foundation aims to counter the human-induced causes of threats to biodiversity. Only Asian and Latin American countries on the DAC list will be eligible. Non-profit organizations are eligible to apply. Government organizations, companies, or individuals are not supported. The maximum grant is €10 thousand. European Commission — Marie Curie COFUND Program

The Marie Sklowdowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) support research training and career development. The MSCA COFUND scheme aims at stimulating regional, national, or international programs to foster excellence in researchers’ training, mobility, and career development. Each proposal under the COFUND scheme shall have a sole participant who will be responsible for matching funds to execute the proposal. Participants submit multi-annual proposals for new or existing doctoral programs or fellowship programs that may be run at regional, national, or international levels. Climate Technology Centre & Network — Youth Climate Innovation Program

The Youth Climate Innovation (YCI) Program supports young innovators from developing countries as they develop high-impact climate technology solutions that are both locally relevant and globally adaptable. Participants benefit from mentorship, coaching and access to a network of investors and institutions focused on climate technology. The program is open to individuals and teams between 18 and 35 years old from Africa, MENA, Latin America and the Caribbean, or Asia-Pacific. The application deadline is 20 October 2024. Catholic Relief Services — International Development c

The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) invites individuals dedicated to a career in international relief & development work to apply for the International Development Fellows Program. Fellows receive training and support CRS’ work in various sectors such as agriculture/livelihoods, health, water and sanitation, emergency response, or micro-financing. The Catholic Relief Services offers 20-30 fellowships each year. Each fellow is placed in one of CRS’ overseas country programs for a 12-month fellowship. AGCO Agriculture Foundation — Quality Education, Research and Innovation in Agriculture

The AGCO Agriculture Foundation (AAF) seeks proposals from non-profit organizations and public universities/educational institutions around the world. AAF considers proposals that increase the capacity of farmers, farming communities, young people and/or women, and facilitates access to the tools, training, activities, and support. Grants between US$200 thousand and US$450 thousand are available. Only non-profits and public universities/educational institutions with innovative solutions targeted at increasing the capacity of farmers are eligible to apply for grant funding. Masdar — Youth 4 Sustainability

Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) is a global initiative that empowers the next generation of sustainability leaders. The Future Sustainability Leaders (FSL) program connects university students and young professionals with global leaders to help them learn the latest sustainability best practices. The Sustainability Ambassadors (SA) program is designed for high school students to become Sustainability Ambassadors by offering them core knowledge & skills training. University of Pennsylvania — Workshop for Social Entrepreneurs

The Global Social Impact House (GSIH) is a seven-day residential program in Costa Rica (June 2025) that provides social entrepreneurs with the training they need to advance their ventures. Workshops are customized to the needs of fellows. The Center for Social Impact Strategy at the University of Pennsylvania will provide scholarships, which include accommodation and food. However, fellows are responsible for covering travel and visa-related expenses. The application deadline is 10 February 2025. Global Social Impact House
