The UN Trust Fund seeks proposals for initiatives to end violence against women and girls. Projects supported include projects in climate change-affected areas, and projects focused on protecting and empowering women living in rural areas. Grants are between US$150 thousand to US$1 million for four years. The UN Trust Fund only accepts applications from civil society organizations and women’s rights organizations with a track record of working on the elimination of violence against women and girls. Rise — Global Talent Program
Rise is a global talent program for young people (ages 15 to 17) from around the world. Each year, Rise will select 100 winners and provide them with need-based financial support for university and internships, mentorship and career services, and access to funding to scale up their social impact throughout their careers. The program is open to any type of young talents, including environmentalists, musicians, artists, performers, product developers, software engineers, researchers, or social or political movement leaders. The Urban Studies program at Oxford University (UK) offers part-time master’s and doctoral courses for practitioners and researchers engaged in cities and urban issues. The MSc in Sustainable Urban Development is a part-time course (taken over two years) and is designed to suit those working in a range of urban contexts worldwide. Deloitte offers One Young World Scholarships which will enable 5 outstanding young leaders to attend the One Young World Summit in Montreal, Canada (September 2024). The scholarship is intended for young leaders focused on reducing the causes and effects of climate change in their communities, countries, or world at large. Scholars will receive access to the One Young World Summit 2024, hotel accommodation, the cost of travel to and from Montreal, and catering. The Contemplative Changemaking Grants support the use of contemplative approaches by grassroots changemakers addressing urgent community needs. Grants will fund projects that support changemakers in transforming lives and communities. Funding is up to US$10 thousand for a 2-year period. Applicants must be individuals applying in their own name, or on behalf of a local community-based nonprofit organization (including universities) or social enterprise. National Geographic Society — Exploration Grant
The National Geographic Society funds individuals working on projects in science, conservation, storytelling, education, and technology that align with one or more of their focus areas: Ocean, Land, Wildlife, Human History & Culture, Human Ingenuity. Level I grants receive funding up to US$20 thousand and offer unique opportunities for training, networking, coaching, and mentorship from fellow National Geographic experts. ClimateScience is a global charity creating and providing educational resources on solutions to climate change to people worldwide. ClimateScience invites youth from 14-17 years and 18-25 years to participate in the Climate Science Olympiad 2024. Participants can compete in teams of two or on their own. Individual applicants can be matched up with a teammate.
