BBSRC supports a range of activities from research projects to technology development, new infrastructure and equipment, use of equipment and facilities, networks, and summer schools. Case Studies include the themes of agriculture, sustainable energy and climate change. Applicants from industry and academia can request a maximum of £2 million per project. Atlas Corps — Fellowship Program for NGO Leaders
Atlas Corps seeks NGO leaders from around the world to apply for a 12-18 month fellowship program. Fellows serve at Host Organizations working on issues that complement their expertise (including: conservation, wildlife, sustainable development, and many others). Applicants must be aged 22-35 and must have 2-10 years of relevant experience in the nonprofit/social sector. The fellowship provides a small living stipend to cover basic expenses (food, local transportation, and shared housing), international flight, and health insurance. Conscious Food Systems Alliance — Conscious Food Incubator
The Conscious Food Systems Alliance (CoFSA) invites applications for the Conscious Food Incubator to support the experimentation of innovative approaches to transform food systems. The aim is to support people from across food and agriculture systems to cultivate the inner capacities that activate systemic change and regeneration. UNDP will fund four pilot interventions of up to US$20 thousand. There is no specific geographic focus or restriction on the location of beneficiaries or applicants. The Morris Animal Foundation makes grants to assist early career researchers in establishing a successful research program. The maximum duration of a First Award is 24 months, and the total budget cannot exceed US$120 thousand. ETH for Development (ETH4D) Seed Grants provide a small funding to explore new collaborations or pilot new applied research projects in low- and lower-middle income countries. Indianapolis Zoo — Award for Animal Conservationist
The Indianapolis Prize recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the sustainability of an animal species or group of species. The winner receives US$250 thousand, while five finalists each receive US$10 thousand. To be nominated, applicants must have accomplished an individual achievement or series of achievements that have resulted in a demonstrable positive impact on an animal species or group of species that is likely to improve long-term sustainability. The PKF Foundation makes grants in support of grassroots conservation, land and resource rights of indigenous and local communities, and traditional knowledge in managing natural resources. PKF’s projects focus heavily on communities in developing countries. PKF works through a network of nominators. Grant seekers approach the Foundation through these nominators.
