Belmont Forum — Tropical Forests
The Belmont Forum aims to coordinate actions and projects with a transdisciplinary approach to develop innovative solutions to the challenges faced in tropical forest regions. The Belmont Forum will fund three-year projects. This call for proposals recognizes the growing threats to those ecosystems and their inhabitants, such as climate change, deforestation, unregulated agroindustry and land conversion, illegal activities, pollution, and environmental/climate injustices. The European Climate Pact photo competition aims to showcase climate action. Photos should capture a climate-friendly daily routine, climate action, or a climate solution. The competition is open to everyone. 10 winners will receive an invite to the Climate Pact annual event in Brussels in 2025, with travel and accommodation covered. EarthRanger — Conservation Technology Award
EarthRanger offers two grants in the amount of US$15 thousand to organizations that are deploying technology to advance their work in conservation. Any organization, protected area, and government entity working to safeguard wildlife and their habitats through tech, including but not limited to, the security of endangered animals, animal behavioral research, anti-poaching enforcement, ecological management, and human-wildlife coexistence, is eligible to apply. International Water Association — Leadership Program for Young Water Professionals
The Leadership Program for Young Water Professionals mobilizes high-potential young water professionals and aims to provide a strong foundation for building professional networks within the global water community. The International Water Association will cover travel expenses for the selected candidates to participate in an immersive retreat and to attend the 2026 IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition, in Glasgow, Scotland. UK Government — Darwin Initiative: Main Projects
The Darwin Initiative funds capacity building, training, research, and education in support of the major conventions on biodiversity — focusing on the developing world. The program invites applications for main projects, partnership projects, and fellowships. Applicant organizations can be based in any country. Projects must benefit biodiversity and local communities in developing countries. Darwin projects should be a minimum of £100 thousand and no more than £600 thousand. UK Government — Darwin Initiative Grants
The Darwin Initiative invites applications for proposals that deliver effective and successful biodiversity conservation as well as poverty reduction projects. Darwin Initiative Capability & Capacity projects may request between £50 thousand to £200 thousand for projects that focus on developing the capability and capacity of national and local organizations. Innovation projects ranging from £10 thousand to £200 thousand must test a novel approach that if proven could scale to deliver results for biodiversity conservation.
