Stanford University — Summer Fellowships for Future Leaders 2025

The Draper Hills Summer Fellowship on Democracy and Development Program is a three-week academic training program for mid-career practitioners in the fields of democracy, development, and the rule of law. Applicants can be working as policy-makers, academics, legal professionals, social entrepreneurs, business entrepreneurs, and leaders of civil society organizations. Stanford will pay for accommodations, meals, and transportation costs during the duration of the program. Van Tienhoven Foundation — Small Grants for Biodiversity Conservation

The Van Tienhoven Foundation for International Nature Protection promotes the protection, conservation, and sustainable use of ecosystems and their living organisms. The Foundation aims to counter the human-induced causes of threats to biodiversity. Only Asian and Latin American countries on the DAC list will be eligible. Non-profit organizations are eligible to apply. Government organizations, companies, or individuals are not supported. The maximum grant is €10 thousand. Because International — Accelerator for Entrepreneurs

Because International accepts applications for the Because Accelerator, a free online program for early-to-middle-stage entrepreneurs who want to take their socially innovative product to the next level. Participants will go through a 16-week training program, weekly one-on-one coaching, networking, and at the end of the cohort. There will be an opportunity to compete in a pitch event for a cash prize, long-term coaching support, funding opportunities, and exposure to international markets. Antarctic Wildlife Research Fund — Krill Fishing and Marine Ecosystem

The Antarctic Wildlife Research Fund (AWR) calls for proposals from scientific researchers who can aid in determining the impact of the krill fishing industry on the Antarctic marine ecosystem. Funding will range from US$25 thousand to US$90 thousand per project. The deadline for applications is 11 April 2025. Find the 11th call for proposals

European Commission — Marie Curie COFUND Program

The Marie Sklowdowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) support research training and career development. The MSCA COFUND scheme aims at stimulating regional, national, or international programs to foster excellence in researchers’ training, mobility, and career development. Each proposal under the COFUND scheme shall have a sole participant who will be responsible for matching funds to execute the proposal. Participants submit multi-annual proposals for new or existing doctoral programs or fellowship programs that may be run at regional, national, or international levels. Free Rivers Fund — Emergency Grant

The Free Rivers Fund collects donations from adventure sports companies and distributes funds to conservation groups. The idea is to give financial support to those who spend their free time protecting rivers from being dammed. The Free Rivers Fund offers emergency grants to help initiatives that have just formed in order to prevent a dam. Applications for emergency support can be submitted anytime. Climate Technology Centre & Network — Youth Climate Innovation Program

The Youth Climate Innovation (YCI) Program supports young innovators from developing countries as they develop high-impact climate technology solutions that are both locally relevant and globally adaptable. Participants benefit from mentorship, coaching and access to a network of investors and institutions focused on climate technology. The program is open to individuals and teams between 18 and 35 years old from Africa, MENA, Latin America and the Caribbean, or Asia-Pacific. The application deadline is 20 October 2024. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations — Mountain Future Award

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) invites institutions and individuals to submit proposals for transformative mountain projects. Projects must focus on the significant challenges mountain areas face today, including food insecurity, climate change impact, biodiversity loss, poverty, and loss of traditional knowledge. Winning projects will receive seed funding of US$5,000 and project incubation assistance. New projects and projects in the initial planning stages are eligible; ongoing projects are not. Catholic Relief Services — International Development c

The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) invites individuals dedicated to a career in international relief & development work to apply for the International Development Fellows Program. Fellows receive training and support CRS’ work in various sectors such as agriculture/livelihoods, health, water and sanitation, emergency response, or micro-financing. The Catholic Relief Services offers 20-30 fellowships each year. Each fellow is placed in one of CRS’ overseas country programs for a 12-month fellowship. Yale University — Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship

The Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship aims to create a community of committed clean energy and climate change leaders from emerging and developing countries. Fellows will engage in a series of interactive sessions with prominent Yale faculty and practitioners to set the terms of the global climate change debate. Applicants should be between five and 10 years into their professional careers and be representatives of the Global South (Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America/Caribbean).
