TravelGrants supports young activists, changemakers, charities, students, social media influencers, and artists from around the world with travel grants. The travel project must represent an opportunity to gain intercultural knowledge and learn about an environment other than the applicants. The winner will receive a US$500 travel grant. ASEAN Foundation — FutureReady ASEAN Competition

Future Ready ASEAN is an online platform with learning tracks to foster digital skills, in particular computer science. The FutureReady ASEAN Competition invites ASEAN youth to develop a blog site on a pressing challenge in the ASEAN region across one of the four following sub-themes: Agriculture, Biodiversity, Climate Change, Water. The competition is open to all ASEAN youth aged 15 to 35. The finalists will be invited to present their blog at a final event in Bangkok, Thailand (28-29 November 2019). International Fund for Agricultural Development — Meat Value Chains for Women and Youth in Africa

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) seeks proposals for grants to  implement inclusive red meat value chains for women and youth farmers in Eastern and Southern Africa. The IFAD will support livestock development in the targeted countries Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The grant amount under this call is up to US$2 million. International Food Policy Research Institute — Short Video Contest

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks short videos (1-2 minutes) for the “My Food our Future” video contest. The video should offer ideas and solutions to access healthy and affordable diets. Young filmmakers from all around the world have the chance to win a US$500 prepaid gift card. Global Landscapes Forum — Call for African Filmmakers

The Youth in Landscapes Initiative invites filmmakers between 18  and 35 years, to create a short film that showcases the power and the potential of youth-led actions and innovations in improving landscape management in communities in Ghana. Selected filmmakers will join the Youth in Landscape Camp being held near Accra (October 2019). The film must be between three and six minutes and can be of any genre or creative narrative. IIDEA — Regional Integration Projects in East Africa

IIDEA invites organizations from East Africa to submit small-scale regional integration projects in agriculture, and other themes. Projects should focus on the needs of Youth and Women in the region. Financial support may range from US$10 thousand to US$50 thousand. Projects have to be implemented within a 12-month time-frame. Applications must be received not later than 30 July 2019. World Hunger Fighters Foundation — Fellowship for African Youths

The World Hunger Fighters Foundation seeks applications for the Borlaug-Adesina Fellowship. The fellowship program is aimed at African youths between the ages of 21 and 30 years old. Climate Chance — Climate Chance Summit Africa 2019

Climate Chance opens the call for proposals for the Climate Chance Summit Africa 2019. The call is open to local authorities, businesses, NGOs, trade unions, scientists, representatives from agricultural, youth, women and indigenous organisations, educators and citizens. Initiatives corresponding to many themes will be considered: Access to climate finance in Africa; Developing African cities in a sustainable way; Agriculture, food and reforestation in Africa; Renewable energy and energy efficiency in Africa; Adaptation and Water in Africa; Education and Training on Climate Change in Africa; and others. Unilever — Young Entrepreneurs Awards 2019

The Unilever Young Entrepreneurs Awards invite nominations of individuals ages 18 to 35 anywhere in the world who have initiatives, products, or services that address sustainability challenges in three categories. The categories are ‘improve people’s health and well-being’; ‘improve the health of the planet’; and ‘contribute to a fairer and more socially inclusive world’. Unilever will recognise up to eight winners in 2019, each of whom will be awarded a cash prize in addition to one-to-one mentoring support for a year. The overall winner will receive the “HRH The Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur Prize” of €50 thousand, the remaining winners will each receive a €8.5 thousand cash award. The Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) invites applications for funding support for innovation platforms, agribusinesses and other multi-stakeholder platforms to scale agricultural technologies in Africa.
