The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) launches a photo competition to promote youth participation in rural development in Latin American and the Caribbean. IFAD seeks images that show young people engaged in rural areas in the region. Ten selected photos will be exhibited during the official ceremony of the Rural Youth Innovation Award (June 2020). The Field Museum (Chicago, USA) supports basic research on its collections by interested students and scholars throughout the world. The Museum offers a modest number of grants and fellowships, including funding for short-term visits of up to three months for collection-based research studies. Grants to examine specimens in the Museum’s collections are open on a competitive basis to all individuals in the national and international scholarly community working on problems related to natural history. The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) seeks proposals for grants to implement inclusive red meat value chains for women and youth farmers in Eastern and Southern Africa. The IFAD will support livestock development in the targeted countries Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The grant amount under this call is up to US$2 million. Global Landscapes Forum — Call for African Filmmakers
The Youth in Landscapes Initiative invites filmmakers between 18 and 35 years, to create a short film that showcases the power and the potential of youth-led actions and innovations in improving landscape management in communities in Ghana. Selected filmmakers will join the Youth in Landscape Camp being held near Accra (October 2019). The film must be between three and six minutes and can be of any genre or creative narrative.
