The Global Changemaker Collective (GCC) is a collaborative network that unites youth, organizations, and governments to drive global change through local solutions. The Global Changemaker Fellowship is a six‑month virtual advancement program that supports social change leaders (aged 13–35) as they scale their community initiatives through workshops, mentorship, and access to a global peer network. Green Earth Action Foundation — Fully-Funded Community Climate Leadership Program
The Green Earth Action Foundation (GEAF) invites applications for its Ambassador Program 2027, a six-month, fully-funded climate leadership opportunity open to changemakers worldwide. Selected ambassadors design and lead a community-based environmental project, chosen from five thematic areas: forest and biodiversity protection, environmental education and community empowerment, waste reduction and pollution prevention, climate-smart agriculture, and marine and water protection. GEAF provides expert-led capacity building alongside one-to-one mentorship and guided project implementation support. Applicants must be at least 18, demonstrate experience in community outreach and local implementation, communicate fluently in French or English, and commit approximately five to ten hours per week for the full six months. Planet Forward — Student Environmental Storytelling Contest
George Washington University’s Planet Forward invites enrolled or recently graduated post-secondary students to submit environmental storytelling entries — short video, social video, written story, or multimedia — on topics including food, water, energy, biodiversity, and climate justice. Six winners across categories receive a fully paid trip to Alaska’s Inside Passage with National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions. Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation — Science without Borders Challenge 2027
The Science Without Borders (SWB) Challenge is an international student art competition. The theme for the 2027 challenge is “Navigate with care.” Students are asked to create artwork that explores how mariners can help protect both people and life in the ocean by navigating safely and responsibly. The SWB Challenge is open to primary and secondary school students (aged 11-19 years) from all around the world. The winners will receive scholarships of up to US$500. The deadline is 01 March 2027. Explorers Club — Marine Exploration Grant
The Explorers Club supports the scientific fieldwork of groundbreaking explorers around the world. The Stephenson Explorers Advancement Program supports college undergraduates/graduate students, and independent explorers under the age of 35 conducting exploration and field research for marine exploration and conservation projects. Pulitzer Center — Local Letters for Global Change
Local Letters for Global Change is a Pulitzer Center writing contest for students. Students are encouraged to write a letter to a local elected representative that explains the global issue they want them to prioritize (e.g., Climate and Environment), shows how it connects to their local community and proposes a solution. The Pulitzer Center welcomes entries from all current K-12 students across the globe. First-place winners will receive US$300 to support global community engagement. Educators working with groups of 50 or more students can also schedule a free, virtual workshop facilitated by a member of the Pulitzer Center Education team. Composting Council Research and Education Foundation — Poster Contest
The International Compost Awareness Week Committee invites submissions for its annual poster contest. This year’s theme is “All Paths Lead to Compost”. The winning poster will serve as the promotional piece of the 2026 International Compost Awareness Week and the winner will receive US$500. Arab Youth Center — Youth Delegates to the 2026 UN Water Conference
The Arab Youth Center invites applications for the Global Youth Water Envoys Program. The center will select 100 young people from across the world’s regions and prepare them to take part in the 2026 UN Water Conference (Abu Dhabi/December 2026). Applicants must be aged 18 to 35 at the time of the conference, be proficient in English, and have an interest or relevant experience in water governance, public policy, climate action, sustainability, innovation, finance, or a related field. World Oceans Day — Become a Young Ocean Leader
The World Oceans Day Youth Advisory Council needs 15 new young ocean leaders from around the world. The Council works closely with The Ocean Project and its global partner network to help shape the development of World Oceans Day. Members will develop projects and help to shape World Oceans Day. Applicants should be between the ages of 16 and 22, able to make a two-year commitment (including approximately 10 hours per month to Council activities). Applications are due by 02 August 2026.
