The Emerging Climate Champions Award provides flexible multiyear grants of $1 million each to youth-led (ages 15–35) climate organizations worldwide. It supports groups with at least two years of active operations, community leadership, and measurable climate impact—spanning initiatives in climate justice, conservation, sustainable agriculture, resilience, movement building, and more. The award is open to organizations from all regions, including Indigenous-led, women-led, grassroots, and other under-resourced groups. Applicants must register by 15 August 2025. The Joke Waller-Hunter (JWH) Initiative offers grants to advance the leadership of young individuals working for or affiliated with environmental civil society organizations in developing and emerging countries. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations — World Food Day Poster Contest (Age 5-19)
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FOA) calls on children and teens from all over the world (ages 5 to 19) to use their imagination and create a poster of their water action for food. “Rights to foods” explores how we should all be able to enjoy nutritious food so that we can grow and live an active life. Climate Tracker — Climate Journalism Mentorship Program
The Climate Journalism Mentorship Program supports emerging journalists in Latin America to report on the energy transition and climate issues. Participants will receive editorial mentorship, training, and financial support to produce three in-depth stories. The Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship aims to create a community of committed clean energy and climate change leaders from emerging and developing countries. The AI for Climate Action Award is a global competition that celebrates the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in tackling climate change. Anyone above the age of 18 years, with an open-source, AI-powered climate solution developed in or for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) or Small Island Developing States (SIDS) is encouraged to apply. Applications are welcome from individuals, teams, start-ups, organizations, or any other type of entity. The winner will travel to the UN Climate Change Conference COP 30 in Brazil (November 2025). Future Blue Youth Council — True Blue Fellowship
The True Blue Fellowship connects and empowers youth around the world to leverage the creative arts to enact change in local communities to safeguard the ocean, waterways, and the climate. The Fellowship provides mentorship, capacity building, and funding of up to $2,500 for 10 youth-led projects that address ocean, waterways, or climate change issues in their local communities. SEAMEO — Education for Sustainable Development
The SEAMEO-Japan Education for Sustainable Development Award invites public and private schools across Southeast Asia to showcase initiatives that enhance community resilience through local wisdom in disaster risk reduction. The first prize includes US$1,000 and a study tour to Japan for selected students and teachers. Second and third prizes are US$600 and US$400, respectively.
