U.S. Department of State — Countering Wildlife Trafficking in Central Africa

The U.S. government seeks to reduce the ability of criminal groups to profit from poaching and trafficking of protected animals and their body parts originating in or transiting Central Africa. Proposed projects should be designed to strengthen the capacity of wildlife-related institutions and actors in Angola, Chad, Cameroon, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Kinshasa), Nigeria, Guinea, and Gabon. The total funding amount is not to exceed US$2.8 million. Eligibility for funding extends to US and foreign based non-profit organizations and educational institutions.
